The Lakes Care Home

Year 6 pupils from CMP thoroughly enjoyed their recent visit to meet residents of the Lakes Care Home. They spent time chatting about their hobbies and favourite lessons and hearing some fascinating stories about the residents’ own school days. Some children played a matching game, whilst others showed examples of their art work and explained about trips they had been on. ‘It was great to talk about playing hockey with one of the residents – it turned out she loved the sport too’, said a pupil, while another asked ‘when can we come again?’ It was heartwarming to see how well the children and residents interacted and it is planned that this initial visit will lead to Care Home residents coming to CMP to watch the School Production and other events in the near future.
