Educational visit

STEM Award

Every year all pupils from Reception to Year 8 who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths are invited to join the school STEM Award project.

This is run by Mrs Paddock, Head of Lower Prep and Mr Mark Collins, Head of Maths.

To join the scheme, the pupils have to write a letter of application to join the award and are then accepted as STEM Leaders. The events this year were a talk from a leading government micro-biologist and a trip to see the World Land Speed Challenge Supersonic Car "Bloodhound" at the Castrol offices in Swindon.

In order to gain a certificate, the children had to write a report about their experience.
