Sporty Saturday at Prior Park Prep

On Saturday we hosted 17 U8 Football teams on five pitches, our largest football event yet. The sun was shining and over 100 boys from a range of schools thoroughly enjoyed four friendly football matches. The games were all played in great spirit and it was a pleasure to host this all inclusive event.

The girls were busy on the netball courts with an U8 Netball festival of seven teams and three matches in the afternoon for senior girls.

On Saturday afternoon the boys played six hockey matches against Beaudesert. The Colts A team performed extremely well, winning 8-0 and demonstrating that they are in good form ahead of our tournament here at the Prep School on Wednesday. We have won the event for the last two years, demonstrating the strength of hockey here at Prior Park. Good luck for Wednesday boys.

It was a pleasure to host so many mixed ability teams from like minded schools that embrace the sport for all attitude. Every Prior Park boy from Year 2 and Year 3 had the opportunity to play. And, it was great to see the club players supporting those boys with less experience. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to play and will have grown in confidence as a result. This is just one example of how we like to help our children to feel good about themselves.
