We have been monitoring the Met Office forecasts during the morning and, where Cricklade was on the edge of a yellow warning, it has now been put onto an amber warning.

In view of the worsening weather conditions, and in the interests of safety for you and your children, we have decided to take the decision to close the school from lunchtime today.  Whilst we are not currently experiencing heavy snow we are due to be hit in the early afternoon by significant snowfall. Parents are welcome to collect their children any time between now and 1pm.

We will also be closed tomorrow as the conditions overnight are due to deteriorate further. An update will be posted on our website by 6pm on Sunday evening regarding next week, although we anticipate the school opening as normal on Monday.
We hope that all staff and children get home safely today and that the children enjoy the snow!
