Rise Theatre Visit

On Thursday the Year 5 and 6 pupils were very fortunate to have some professional actors from 'Rise Theatre' visit the school to perform a play on the famous Italian Saint, Don Bosco. The pupils were given a drama workshop before the performance, in which theyhad the opportunity to act out the parable of 'The Prodigal Son'.

The actors from Rise Theatre then gave a very entertaining and fascinating production of The Life of Don Bosco focusing on his own considerable trials and tribulations and the amazing difference he made to the lives of street children he helped on the streets of Naples.

At the end of the play each child was given a 'mustard seed' as a symbol of how they can grow and make a positive difference to the world around them.

The was a wonderful experience for all concerned, particularly the Year 6 pupils who will be visiting Savio House in Ma, a place dedicated to the memory and work of Don Bosco.
