Monopoly, Frustration, Noughts & Crosses at The Granny & Gramps Tea

We had such a lovely afternoon entertaining our grandparents today. It's a wonderful, annual event that provides Pre-Prep pupils with the opportunity to invite their grandparents to an activity and afternoon tea.

This year, the theme was ‘board games’ and they loved it. Monopoly, Frustration, draughts, noughts & crosses and many other traditional and novel games were played. Children shared grandparents and games with one another and lots of new skills were learned.

Afternoon tea was a highlight. Once again our catering team did us proud with delicious sandwiches and cakes. The boys and girls were wonderful waiters and waitresses, making sure all our honoured guests were well fed and watered. After a week of cold and wet weather we were blessed with splendid June sunshine so we were all able to enjoy our lovely walled garden. It was a delight to see so many grandparents and the children loved showing them around their school.

What a special afternoon. The children were so grown up serving us the sandwiches.
