On Tuesday we took four eager Year 5 mathematicians to Pinewood School for a maths challenge. The challenge featured a range of questions from difficult mental calculations to solving a number of logic and reasoning questions. The team communicated really well amongst themselves and achieved many correct answers early on. They proved they had good logic and could could work in a good systematic manner. The group had some problems however, with a Tangrams puzzle which dented their chances of winning but they still finished strongly. Despite finishing just 'outside the medals' the four of them should be very pleased with the manner in which they completed every challenge. Mr Collins, Head of Maths, was extremely proud of the way they behaved and represented the school.
