Artist Ian Murphy visits Year 8 children

Renowned artist Ian Murphy spent the day with the Year 8 children following on from their recent visit to Blenheim Palace where pupils studied the Baroque architecture and linked up with history, discovering more about the Churchill family. Pupils developed some large-scale pieces of art work inspired by Ian's techniques and approaches to drawing architecture. Ian was excellent at communicating with our pupils and delivering a workshop tailored to their individual needs. Pupils refined and created interesting photographs which they developed by creating interesting textual effects on the paper and using a wide variety of materials to show line, shape, form and tone.
