Prior Park Prep School pupil Hannah is showing great potential on the field, in the discipline of Javelin. At just 11 years old Hannah's performances have already placed her third in Great Britain for U13 Girls.
Whilst the rankings fluctuate and change with a variety of events occurring, Hannah has achieved both third for Great Britain U13 and first position for Great Britain in the U12 age group. In a recent Severnside competition she has even doubled a longstanding regional Javelin record. Hannah's PB documented on the British Athletics 'Power of 10' site is now 31.69m.
Having only been in the U13 category for one year, Hannah is realistic about reaching the top slot, understanding that it won't be easy to achieve. She is also humble about her achievements rating her performance as 'quite good'. Hannah will continue to train at both the Prior Park Prep school and her local athletics club on a regular basis, and will compete at the IAPS regional qualifier in Oxford, alongside Tyla who will be competing in the 100m sprint.
Hannah works hard and really loves athletics. It's great to see her achieve this level at such a young age. She's unaware at this stage of her talents and always maintains a lovely attitude towards competition and sportsmanship. We wait with great anticipation to see what she achieves in the future.Miss Emily Bird, Girls' Games
