Our boarders don't just live here, they simply thrive here!
The boarding house is an integral part of our school here at Prior Park. In January 2013, a new family-led staff team looks to build on the caring home from home environment that has been established over a number of years.
Our new Head of Boarding, Mr Barton is excited to have the opportunity to lead this thriving community into 2013. New pupil centred ideas that look to support the needs of this happy group of individuals are being initiated.
With support from the staff, the strong and resilient community of weekly and full boarding pupils frequently welcomes flexi-boarders that rarely want to leave.
New initiatives, that offer opportunities for senior pupils to develop independence and take more responsibility for themselves and others, will help to prepare our Year 8 pupils to move onto senior schools at the end of the year.
Our boarding community is very welcoming, creating a family environment which is in many ways a home from home. We are proud to see our boarders grow in confidence, maturity and independence; supported by our genuinely caring staff. Under the guidance of the Head of Boarding, our houseparents are supported by a team of residential staff, as well as the school medical team.
