Extra-curricular
The extra-curricular programme available at Prior Park is designed to complement the academic curriculum, and encourages pupils to engage in a diverse range of activities. We recommend that pupils continue with activities which they already enjoy and are successful in, but importantly try something new each term, allowing them to gain new experience and a breadth of skills and interesets.
We place a huge emphasis upon the extra-curricular programme on offer and a vast amount of activities are available.
We also have a full programme of educational visits throughout the school to support and enhance classroom based lessons, including culture and sport. Pupils are encouraged to recognise the relationship between different subjects and disciplines, fostering a recognition of intelligent and independent learning.
In recent years, major overseas visits have successfully been undertaken. These have included rugby and netball trips to South Africa; cricket and hockey visits to Barbados; Choir trips to Salzburg and Barcelona, and Art and Music trip to Venice.
The vast array of extra-curricular activities available at Prior Park includes archery, fencing, tennis, model airfix club, English Speaking Board and Judo.
